What we do
Axle and spindle work is the specialty here — not one line on a long repair menu. Every job starts with an inspection of the axle and the wheel end.

Before you replace the axle
When a wheel end fails, the complete axle assembly is often quoted for replacement before the damage has been properly assessed. If the axle tube and the surrounding structure are still serviceable, replacing the damaged spindle can be a practical alternative that returns the unit to work sooner.
Every axle must be inspected first. Suitability depends on the condition of the axle, where the damage is located, the measurements taken at the wheel end and how the unit is used. Some axles are damaged beyond a spindle repair, and when that is the case, full axle replacement is the honest recommendation.
Northwest Axle Spindle never promises that an axle can be repaired before it has been inspected.

Reduce downtime
Inspection-first repair decisions
How it works
A clear, repeatable process that keeps fleet managers, owner-operators and shop foremen informed at each stage.
Provide unit details, axle information, photographs of the damage and the location of the equipment.
The application and the reported damage are reviewed so the right questions are asked before anyone is dispatched.
The unit or axle is inspected on site or in the shop, and the spindle and wheel end are measured.
The correct repair procedure and replacement components are chosen from the measurements and the application.
Work is carried out and related axle-end components — bearings, seals, hubs and brakes — are inspected.
Adjustments and final checks are performed before the unit is released back into service.
